What You'll Learn on this Moorland First Aid Course

This course equips you with essential first aid skills to handle medical emergencies while travelling or adventuring in remote areas. You'll gain the confidence to assess situations quickly, provide effective care and manage injuries until professional help arrives.

Basic First Aid for Roadside & Trail Emergencies

  • Treating Common Injuries – Learn how to manage cuts, abrasions, sprains and fractures effectively.

  • Managing Head Injuries & Bleeding – Understand how to assess and control bleeding from wounds and head trauma.

What to Bring

You are welcome to bring your own lunch or you can purchase it on the day from the pub or nearby shops. We also recommend bringing a notebook for any personal notes you may want to make during the course. Refreshments will be provided throughout the course to keep you comfortable and focused.

Learners are continuously assessed throughout the course using various methods, such as practical demonstrations, Q&A sessions, quizzes and interactive activities like role play. These approaches are designed to provide reassurance and support as participants build and refine their skills.
